hungarian version

If you are interested in who I am and what I do, spend some time on reading this page. If you don't want to, you can find a "back" button somewhere on top of your browser ... ;-)

I was born in 1974, in a quiet Easter Monday afternoon 5 minutes before half past six in Hungary. When I was a boy, I thought that my parents opened the calendar and pointed at a name to choose for me, because my birthday is right after my name-day. I thought that the calendar was used at that page the most. But, of course, this wasn't true.

My career began in a nursery and primary school in Tiszaujvaros (it was called Leninvaros (LeninTown) then). I was a pioneer and I wore a blue, later a red tie of pioneers.

I tried to play the trumpet, but the school of music didn't want to listen to my music for a long time. I enjoyed the opportunity of the previous (socialist) regime's young people as pioneer guardsman. On my tenth birthday, 5 minutes before half past six in the afternoon, I and my family were traveling by our car and went down to a ditch. This was caused by the broken half-axle of our good-old Skoda 100 car. So I didn't sit in a car on my twentieth birthday, and I have made tradition about this...

Then, I went to Erdey-Gruz Tibor Secondary Technical School of Chemistry in Debrecen and I lived in a youth hostel. I was a member of the school radio and I won the idea-prize at a town competition with my friend. I took a large number of photographs and videos of the events of the school. I began to like the gymnastics on the apparatus here, but unfortunately I gave this up when I left school. I got the 'Tiba' nickname here, too, and most people call me this way.

I was a young general chemical technician, but I soon realized that I had chosen the wrong career, and I went to Banki Donat College of Technology (Budapest Tech Polytechnical Institution now). I finished that and I got a Bachelor of Information Technology degree in 1997. Since then, I have been living in Budapest.

From 1997 I worked for an old Hungarian information technology company, where my main job was to manage the country-wide network and the Internet access for the company and operate the local area network of the centre in Budapest. I helped our clients to solve their network problems, configured firewalls, network devices and servers, etc. I worked mostly with Cisco routers, Linux and Microsoft products.

In 2001 I transferred to an affiliated company of a big system integrator company, where I’m an IT security professional.

I have been a happy married man since 2000.

I grew a bit since I was a pioneer, so you can find some recent pictures of me here: Click here! (click on my head! :-)
